The 13th Annual Headed to College Road Race sponsored by Communities In Schools (CIS) has been awarded a 2016 Challenge Grant through The Health Foundation. The Foundation will provide a dollar-for-dollar match for funds raised from individual donors up to $5,000. To date sponsorships for the race have exceeded $5,000!

It is not too late for businesses and individual donors to send in a sponsorship for this year’s race. The grant from The Health Foundation was designed to encourage the staff, board and leadership of CIS to continue contributing to a healthier community.
The race is scheduled for Saturday, May 15 beginning at 8:00. Races include a one mile color run, a 5k and 10k race. Proceeds from the Color Run will be used for the running clubs at Moravian Falls served through Communities In Schools. Both the 5k and 10k will follow the same routes as last year which are out and back races beginning and ending at Wilkes Community College. Discounted rates will be given to runners who register as a group. Runners can register during office hours at the Communities In Schools office, online at www.cisnwnc.org or on Facebook, CISofWilkes.
